IWA is proud to announce that we have received the Governor’s Award for STEM for the 16th consecutive year! The Ohio Academy of Science awarded the ENTIRE IWA faculty the Thomas Edison Award for Excellence in STEM Education.
As stated in the press release by the Ohio Academy of Science, STEM education “incorporates scientific inquiry and technological design through student-focused, project-based curricula to develop skills of communication, teamwork/collaboration, creativity/innovation, critical thinking, and problem solving.”
This award recognizes teachers who stimulate research and design and develop experiential opportunities beyond traditional classroom activities.
