Incarnate Word Academy was proud to support Kinder Prep Director and Teacher, Ms. Kimberly Vacanti, as she was recognized by the Cleveland Cavaliers as February’s “Head of the Class!”
Ms. Vacanti was nominated by a colleague for this award, which recognizes teachers in Northeast Ohio that make a difference in their students’ lives both inside and outside of the classroom. One teacher is selected each month during the regular season and must be nominated by a principal, assistant principal, counselor or peer.
“Kim demonstrates a passion for education and this is evident in her daily lessons as she models what it means to be a learner,” said Mrs. Anne Hribar, her colleague and nominator. “At the preschool level, she has a standard for learning that is high and provides a safe and rich learning environment. There are no ceilings to learning in this classroom. The dedication to promoting a culture of learning, where even the littlest learners are challenged to ask questions, care about their world, and solve problems is something to behold.”
She attended the game along with her two sons, received the award on the court, and waved to her IWA fan club in the stands.
Ms. Vacanti goes above and beyond every day, and we couldn’t be more proud to call her a Warrior!
